The Expose the Root Project is moving forward. We have been working hard on interviewing Grandmasters, Professors, and many more to uncover the story and history of Kajukenbo. The list of interviews are getting shorter but the list of costs to finish the project is growing. The E.T.R.P. has decided to throw several seminars to start the fundraising portion of this project. We have already successfully pulled off our first seminar in Los Angeles and our second & third seminars in San Diego with the help of the Dang brothers. These seminars were only possible because a hand full of high ranking black belts donated their time and skill to help raise funds for this project. We plan on hosting a seminar on December 6th, 2014 taught by SGM Ron Lew of the Cacoy Doce Pares Stick fighting system; this particular seminar will also include a Strawberry Guava Improvement stick. Proceeds from this event will go towards SGM Cacoy Canete and help build a promotional team for Expose the Root Project.
More seminars in the near future to help keep the project moving. We are planning to start our Indygogo campaign in February of 2015 through multi-media where everyone who donates to the project will receive something from the art of Kajukenbo (i.e.): Trinket, Philosophy, T-shirt, Kajukenbo DVD, Training Weapons, Martial Art Lessons or donated martial art gifts.
